PEKO Contract Manufacturing 2018: A Year in Review

As another year closes, the time for reflection opens. Looking back on all that 2018 had to offer us, we couldn’t be more grateful for the continued support from our customers and dedicated staff. As we continue to move ourselves forward, and prepare for the year 2019, we want to share with you all of the exciting things that 2018 brought for us.

New Machinery & Equipment

PEKO added a significant number of new machines and equipment to our facilities this past year which further caters to our customer base as a full-service contract manufacturer. Fiber lasers, CNC Machines, Powder Coat Paint ovens and more have been added to our huge fleet. Since we pride ourselves in our ability to offer a complete turnkey solution for OEMs, these new additions to our facilities set us apart from other contract manufacturing companies.

New Employees

The hardworking people that make up PEKO’s staff and employee base are at the heart of who we are as a company. As we continue through our company’s ongoing growth, we need to make sure that we have the dedicated staff needed to sustain that growth. In 2018, we are happy to say that we brought on 103 new employees to our PEKO family, which has certainly kept our Human Resources Department busy as they worked hard to fill these new roles.

Our Human Resource Team ensures that everyone they bring on is not only a great fit for our company, but that they are fully integrated into their new position with the support that they need. New Welding Facility

MIG, TIG, Spot, and Robotic welding have always been a big part of our service inclusion as a vertically integrated CM. Recently, we have seen an uptick in the number of customers who are looking for frame and cabinet weldments as a part of their full-service solution. With this uptick in demand, we have fulfilled the needs of an increased welding capacity and have added a new dedicated welding facility to our operations, check it out here.

Additional Wet Paint Booth

PEKO added an automated powder paint line and wet paint booth into their in-house capabilities a while back after dealing with the stress of outsourcing for far too long. Since we’ve added these capabilities to our operations, we have had a significant amount of increased control over painted parts that are needed for our customers’ major mechanical assemblies. Now that we can handle any paint issues internally and have completely eliminated any mark-up issues with transporting painted parts, we have been able to leverage this advantage to our customers. At the end of 2018, PEKO added an additional wet paint booth to our facilities which will allow us to significantly decrease lead times with this proper allocation of resources.

Professional Video Published

This year we’ve finally explored using video as a medium for interacting with our current and prospective customers. In April, we published our very first informational video. The purpose of this video is to familiarize curious parties with PEKO’s capabilities and brand. Met with rave reviews, we’ve invested in other videos and have some exciting new videos releasing in 2019.

Additional Customers

Every year we are excited to watch our current customers grow their orders with us as their own businesses expand. Because our customers leave the manufacturing side of things to us, they have the peace of mind knowing they can allocate their internal resources to their core business and its growth. Apart from current customers of ours increasing their business with us, we are grateful to have added 8 new customers to our company this past year!

We would like to thank everyone for their continued support and are beyond grateful of those who helped make 2018 a record year for us. We look forward to using this momentum to make an even better 2019.
